C-Type Printing
C-Type Print is the abbreviation name of Chromagentic Type. Its a chemical process using sliver halide that reacts to light to create a colour image. C-Type printing is traditionally what photographers are used to printing on due to it giving an extremely smooth even continuous tone.
C-Type Print Process
We exclusively use Fuji professional DPII as its an industry leading photographic film. We offer four C-Type paper finishes.

Lustre
DPII Fuji Lustre is an archival quality paper ideal for professional use. This silver halide paper has a stiff, thicker base that is ideally suited for medium to large-scale digital printing. In addition, its slightly stippled texture creates beautiful prints with subtle, natural colour and three-dimensional detail.

Gloss
DPII Fuji Gloss is a highly-stable paper with archival qualities. In addition, its rigid base and gloss finish create images that accentuate colour, creating bolder, more highly contrasted images.

Mettalic
Fuji DPII Mettalic offers a dynamic paper with a cool pearl base. Colours have a reflective, three-dimensional feel with high mid-tones that add luminosity to the image.

Velvet
Fuji DPII Velvet paper is specially designed for high-end results. Recommended for fine art and museum display, it is ideal for customers who demand high-quality results and a distinctive matt finish.

Paper Sample Pack
We offer a paper sample pack in our store which is perfect reference to help guide what paper will be the best match for your next project.
Test Prints
As well as our paper sample pack, we also offer a test print service. All test prints are 10 x 8″ on your choice of paper.
Before placing a test print order we ask that:
- Your monitor is calibrated
- Your images are converted the sRGB IEC61996-2.1 colour space and that is is embedded to the image.
- Saved as a .jpg at 300dpi
We believe this is the best way to check how your image looks on your choice of paper but also to make sure you get accurate colour reproduction to your screen.
